Everything started with Koos Greeff buying a 10Ha farm in 1946. His son Servaas Greeff came to farm in 1953. He planted wine grapes (Vaalblaar) and Hanepoot. In 1966 Servaas Greeff bought the neighbouring 10 Ha farm. The new farm had raisins and fruit trees. Servaas built a dam and planted Sultana grapes. Servaas Greeff started planting table grapes in 1985. Nico Greeff came to the farm in 1989 and planted more table grapes. He built a small packing shed and from there started exporting table grapes. In 2008 another neighbouring farm of 13 Ha, Syphon, was purchased. His son Jacques came to the farm in 2009 and his youngest son, Francois joined the farm in 2014.
In 2012 a large packing shed was built which enabled them to pack and export more grapes. Another farm was bought in 2013 and table grapes and raisins were planted on the new farm. Nico had always wanted to open up a farm stall. During harvest season he would sell grapes and watermelon next to the road. At the end of 2015, together with his daughter-in-law Karin Greeff, he opened the farm stall. At first it was small but with time it was expanded to include more products and in 2018 the coffee shop was added.
Our Padstal and restaurant are surrounded by vineyards and offer a relaxing farm atmosphere. You can buy a variety of fresh seasonal produce from our Padstal, either produced on our farm or sourced from local farmers. We also offer products like dried fruits, honey and baked goods such as cookies and rusks and so much more.
Have a delicious meal or cup of coffee while relaxing at our restaurant. Our playground is every child’s delight and while they are playing, they can also feed our ducks. Our kiddies menu includes all the usual kid’s favourites. Come and experience a great atmosphere. Our friendly staff are always ready to welcome and assist you.
